Seville dresses up to receive the Edelvives Awards 2023

During May 2023, our Shabby&Chic team was fully involved in the preparation and organisation of the Edelvives Awards 2023. An event of such high national recognition could only be held in an industrial, secret, inspiring, and surprising space.

One of our challenges lay on two fundamental axes: on the one hand, providing the space with a fairly large audiovisual load, combining large LED screens, mobile lighting capable of creating unique atmospheres, surround sound equalised at the same levels at each point of the room, and live recording, production, and broadcasting during the gala. On the other hand, the second of the main axes of our challenge was the arrangement of the 400 seats that made up the auditorium, in such a way that the visualisation of the magic tricks is completely clean from each seat without interfering with the visibility angles of the magic tricks, the best-kept secret of our magician.

Under the motto “The Magic of Words”, the Awards Gala kicked off with magician Jorge Blass as Master of Ceremonies, who skillfully guided the course of the event with numerous surprising magic tricks that transported the spectators from their seats, where a multitude of objects appeared and disappeared.

Almost unexpectedly, Jorge Blass brought Beatriz Berrocal onto the stage, the winner of the XXXIII Ala Delta Award for Río Rojo, who received a standing ovation from the audience for her contribution to Children’s Literature. Actress María Galiana was in charge of voicing the different excerpts from the award-winning publications, and she also introduced the intervention of the second winner of the night, José Antonio Francés, with his novel 2 + 2, which received the XXII Alandar Award for juvenile literature.

Magic continued to be the protagonist of the night, helping, hand in hand with Jorge Blass, to teleport the next awardee, the illustrator Sena Cifuentes. After a few more magic numbers, the gala ended with the farewell of the awardees, cellist Ainhoa providing music for the evening, and the words of Edelvives CEO, Alejandro Cebrián, which put the final touch to an idyllic evening. After the gala, we took care of serving a dinner in the Grand Hall, for 400 people, with tasty and colorful bites of our Andalusian cuisine, in the purest Gourmet style.

The party continued after dinner with a DJ performance, and after the party, attendees were given copies of the award-winning literature, signed by their authors, while exchanging impressions.
